S.H.E. Wolves 3–3 Notts Casuals
Last Saturday wasn’t just another rugby match…
It was history in the making!
The S.H.E. Wolves took to the pitch for their very first Midlands East Ladies T1 League match, making history as the inaugural fixture in the league — and what a morning it was!
Formed through the collaboration of Sileby Vikings Rugby Club
Hinckley Rugby Football Club East Leake Rugby Club, the S.H.E. Wolves brought together players from three clubs to create one team, one pack.
Hinckley Rugby Football Club East Leake Rugby Club, the S.H.E. Wolves brought together players from three clubs to create one team, one pack. And what better way to mark the occasion than with a 3–3 draw against Nottingham Casuals RFC!
A close, competitive game, plenty of smiles and, most importantly, a fantastic celebration of what T1 rugby can offer.
The final score may have been 3–3, but rugby was definitely the overall winner.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this historic morning possible:
East Leake Rugby Club for hosting the game and providing a fantastic venue. Ashby RFC Bullettes for organising the league and helping get Midlands East Ladies T1 Rugby off the ground. https://www.facebook.com/nagsheadeastleake for hosting the post-match celebrations. All the supporters who came along and created a brilliant atmosphere pitchside. And everyone else who played a part behind the scenes, on the pitch and off it — thank you!And of course, a massive well done to Nottingham Casuals RFC for being part of this history-making first fixture.
Three clubs.
One team.
One pack.
The S.H.E. Wolves have arrived.
Here’s to many more T1 fixtures, new friendships and plenty more rugby to come!
