And just like that… we’re back!
Our first outing of the new season saw the Vikings take on Newark Rugby Club Women & Girls in a pre-season friendly — and what a way to get back on the pitch!
After putting in the hard work throughout pre-season, it was brilliant to finally get the boots on, put the training into practice and get stuck into some competitive rugby.
The Vikings came away with a 24–7 victory!
Izzy Spary was on fire, contributing 3 tries, 3 conversions and 1 penalty to the scoreboard.
A huge shoutout to our Players of the Match:
Forward of the Match: Evie Robinson
Back of the Match: Lois Stephenson
Opposition Player of the Match: Ash GiffordMost importantly, it was great to see some new faces alongside our returning Vikings, working together and showing plenty of promise for the season ahead.
A massive thank you to Newark Rugby Club Women & Girls for a great pre-season friendly and to everyone who came along to support us pitchside.
The season is coming… and the Vikings are ready!
