A great way to round off the season as Sileby Valkyries took on Matlock Rugby Club in today’s friendly fixture.
The game started evenly, with both sides getting on the scoreboard early and showing plenty of attacking intent. As the first half developed, Sileby Valkyries began to find their rhythm, moving the ball well and building momentum which led to a number of well-worked tries.
To Matlock’s credit, they never backed down and continued to test Sileby Valkyries throughout the game, earning themselves a deserved second try later on. Both teams showed fantastic determination, teamwork and spirit from start to finish.
Huge credit to both sides for producing such an evenly contested and enjoyable game to watch. A brilliant advert for women’s rugby and the perfect way to close out the season
